Your baby spends most of their first years of life lying down, the 2-in-1 STAGES MATTRESS is the perfect transition for your growing child's needs. The 2-in-1 STAGES MATTRESS is South Africa's first and only dual mattress and its simple design makes it easy to use. STAGE 1 offers a safe sleeping environment for your baby (0-12 months) as this side of the mattress is firm and dense. It reduces the risk of your little one sinking in and suffocating, thus significantly lowering the risk for Sudden Infant Death Syndrome (SIDS)/cot death. STAGE 2 is softer, offering better orthopaedic support for toddlers and children as it moulds to the shape of the growing body. It provides pressure relief and even weight distribution with minimal upward pressure which improves circulation for less tossing and turning and a cosier and more comfortable sleep. There is adequate edge support for your little one to stand on without it giving way and them falling out of the crib. The sizes of the ORTHObaby mattresses were designed to fit the interior dimensions of standard and large cots and camping cots (customised mattresses available upon request). There should be no space greater than 2 fingers width
between the side of the mattress and the cot frame, this increases the risk of entrapment and suffocation. Square corners also ensure a snug fit. The mattress thickness is the recommended 80 mm when laid out flat. Ventilation holes allow for air to flow through thus making it more breathable, it reduces overheating and the smell of odours. The ORTHObaby mattress is light and easy to take out of the crib when you want to clean it and/or if you wish to take it on your travels. The mattress and the ORTHObaby PVC MATTRESS PROTECTOR is easy to clean, it forms a barrier against bacteria, fungi, dust-mites, mould, etc. What's in the box 2-in-1 Stages Mattress, Storage/Travel Bag, Instructions for Use, Instructions for Care
