Triple Direct Line under the counter system The Direct line under the counter Systems is installed under the counter and is easy to maintain. The Direct line under the counter systems will remove sediment, mud, dirt, rust, chlorine, heavy metals and inhibits the growth of bacteria. The Direct line filter system can be wall mounted or placed standing inside of the cupboard. This Filter System consists of 3 Filters with an average lifespan of 12 months but we have seen from 3 month to 24 months on South African municipal supplies. This filter set can handle a lot more bacteria than normal filters. The Premium KDF is a mixture of KDF 55 and granular activated carbon. The KDF kills bacteria and reduces heavy metals by means of a reduction reaction; this allows the filter a much longer lifespan before bacteria starts to grow in the filter. This is then followed by an 0.2 Micron Filter; it is a physical barrier with physical pores small enough to block bacteria. The Filter Set: Stage 1: 1um (Micron) Sediment Filter: This removes particles from the water down to 1 micron. Stage 2: Premium KDF Filter: This filter contains activated carbon mixed with KDF.

The KDF has anti-bacterial properties and prevents the growth of bacteria within the filter, thus extending its life to twice that of standard activated carbon. Stage 3: Pleated Filter Cartridge (0.2 Micron): This has replaced the 0.2 Micron Pleated Filter as it dramatically reduces flush times making the system quicker to install and easier to maintain. This is a physical barrier that will not allow bacteria to pass through. Note when changing the filters first flush the system with just the first two filters before installing the final filter. This will greatly extend the lifespan of the 0.2um filter as it doesnt have to catch the carbon dust from the KDF. Should this be a concern, consider installing the Home Reverse Osmosis System. -Please note that the Direct Line Filter systems are built as needed, as a result it is typically 1 to 2 days before the units will be ready for collection or delivery. -Systems that has a GAC (carbon) or KDF as the final filter in the setup will require a lot of flushing initially to remove the carbon dust from the filter.
