The Sound Start resources for general class music have been developed specifically for Foundation Phase and pre-school teachers without training in music who wants to teach their learners the basic elements of music in a fun way. The lessons and hands-on suggestions presented in the manual have been developed and refined through working closely with Foundation Phase and pre-school teachers. The methodology is outcomes based, learners centred and activity based. The various components are: Teacher's Resource Manual and a Song Book - all songs (tonic solfa) are referred to in the Resource manual.
