In Season 8 of "Blue Bloods," Danny Reagan (Donny Wahlberg) deals with the aftermath of a family tragedy and is thinking about retiring from the police force. A medical crisis appears to pull Erin Reagan (Bridget Moynahan) and Jack Boyle (Peter Hermann) back together, a development that annoys Erin's work partner Anthony Abetemarco (Steve Schirripa). Jamie Reagan (Will Estes) and Eddie Janko (Vanessa Ray) explore a new development in their partnership, while Frank Reagan (Tom Selleck) butts heads with the new mayor, Margaret Dutton (Lorraine Bracco), on a number of policy issues.
