1950s crime drama starring Joan Crawford and Jeff Chandler. Lynn Markham (Crawford) moves into a beach house that belonged to her deceased husband shortly after the previous tennant, Eloise Crandall (Judith Evelyn), mysteriously dies. Lynn meets handsome beachcomber Drummond 'Drummy' Hall (Chandler), who she takes a disliking to at first but is gradually won over by his charms.
