Another series, another roommate for Hannah (Lena Dunham), who begins No. 3 living with Adam (Adam Driver) now that they're a couple again. Unfortunately for these two, romantic bliss always seems just a bit out of reach, especially when they get a surprise visit from his unhinged sister (Gaby Hoffmann) on the night of Hannah's 25th birthday party, and aspiring actor Adam's upcoming Broadway debut in George Bernard Shaw's Major Barbara devours most of his time and attention. Meanwhile, Hannah's new job at GQ isn't the writing gig she thought it would be; Jessa (Jemima Kirke) doesn't make many friends in her new surroundings; Marnie (Allison Williams) moves into her own place and starts a fling with an unlikely partner; Ray (Alex Karpovsky) puts his imprint on a new coffee shop; and Shoshanna (Zosia Mamet) unloads on her friends at a beach-house getaway in Long Island.
