The third season of this mystery finds Emily (Emily VanCamp) on a hastened timeline for her revenge plan because of an ultimatum from Jack (Nick Wechsler), who now knows her true identity. As part of her plan, Emily gets engaged to Daniel (Josh Bowman) for a second time, and elaborate wedding plans are made as Victoria (Madeline Stowe) once again tries to sabotage them. But Victoria also devotes some of her attention to her other son, Patrick (Justin Hartley), who recently re-entered her life years after she gave him up for adoption. To help Emily, Nolan (Gabriel Mann) researches Patrick's past, but he ultimately gives into to his growing romantic feelings toward him. Widower Jack also begins a new relationship after getting close to Margaux (Karine Vanasse), a Frenchwoman who's an old flame of Daniel's. Margaux's father, Pascal (Olivier Martinez), eventually follows her stateside, and his connections to the Graysons and Emily's father are revealed.
