Developed for the precise setting of multiple servo drives, which are used to control the individual control surfaces of a large model \(due to their size and reliability, the control rudders are controlled by two or more servos\).
Even the best digital servos have a certain degree of tolerance of movement, but mainly due to changes in the geometry of the wing, certain "tensions" may occur when controlling the rudders of multiple servos, which are often the cause of unexpected difficulties in the behavior of the model in different flight modes, but there is also a danger that these tensions cause a large current draw from the on-board battery.
For example, in a large-scale aerobatic model that has greatly tapering ailerons, which are controlled by two \(sometimes up to four\) servos due to their size, then when connected, each of the servos used will have a different geometry of movement.
To minimize these effects, we recommend the use of the JR MultiBox, which enables the adjustment of up to four servo drives from a single channel of the receiver.
Each servo can be independently adapted to their movement requirements, in the following functions:
- Sub trim - adjusts the center
each servo.
- Travel Adjust - setting the size of the path of each servo in both directions
- Reversing - allows individual servos to change direction
- Reset - resets all changes made and returns the servos to the default settings JR MultiBox can also be connected to a separate battery.This is especially useful when using powerful servos that draw a lot of current.
Secondary advantages are, for example: - the possibility to connect a gyro - between the receiver and the MultiBox, which will provide strong stabilization of the connected servos.
MultiBox can also be used for other, completely different, but interconnected types of servo drive.
For example, controlling the rudder servo and the landing gear bow node servo.
You can set the rudder of the Multibox in the size of deflections suitable for flight, and at the same time bind the movement of the nose landing gear only to such a size of deflection that will be proportional to the movement of the model on the ground when moving on the runway.
Of course, you can also do this adjustment mechanically, but with the MultiBox it is much easier.
