Preacher's Kid tells the story of Angie King (Luckett) who has been raised by her loving, but controlling, widowed preacher father. Unworldly and naïve, Angie takes off with a charming actor in a touring gospel play that she hopes will land her the musical success she's been dreaming of. Out on the road, Angie suffers the actor's ongoing lies and abuse, which eventually trigger an epiphany. Angie takes a hard look at her life and returns home as the prodigal daughter to the father who has always loved her.
